2023 Ford Escape: exciting new features

2023 Ford Escape: exciting new features

The current generation Ford Escape made its debut for 2020. For its fourth go-around, Ford is making some very interesting adjustments, so that the brand's most popular SUV looks even more attractive this year.

Let's take a look at some of the key changes.

Styling

The first thing that strikes you is the styling tweaks that have been made to the model. There aren't many, but they are striking and easily noticeable. First, there's the grille, which has been made more massive. The Ford logo, which until last year rested on the hood, has been moved to the grille. Finally, there are new headlamps, and on some models, a thin strip of light will join them for a stronger presence.

ST variant

The Escape family will have a new variant this year. Ford is adding the ST trim level to the range. The emphasis is on style, with this model featuring several black elements, a spoiler integrated into the rear roof, and a skid plate in this area.

Multimedia

On board, the layout remains the same, with a few exceptions. Some traditional controls have been replaced by touch-type buttons. There's also a new 13.2-inch screen for the multimedia system. The latter offers the functionalities of the Sync4 system, which can now be updated via the air. The screen is accompanied by a series of switches at its base. What an improvement!

More safety

Finally, the Ford Escape 2023 will be safer than ever. It already offered a host of active safety features. Now it's got some new ones.

Here are just a few examples. With the Co-Pilot 360 suite that comes with certain versions, one of the new functions concerns automatic emergency braking when turning left. If you try to make this maneuver while oncoming traffic is on the road, your Ford Escape will brake to avoid the worst. Another example: blind-spot alerts now include a function that gives a little tug on the steering wheel if you try to change lanes when they're not yet free.

These are two features that are sure to save their future owners a lot of trouble.
